This is the original—designed by 10-year-old Keagan nearly nine years ago. One morning, she slipped her sequined mini skirt into her pocket and insisted on taking it to school. We could have told her no—that she couldn’t take her clothes to school—but something about the way she communicated stopped us in our tracks. It caught our attention and shifted our thinking away from what most people do or what’s considered “normal,” and toward what our daughter was truly trying to tell us.

That moment created a powerful shift in awareness—a new way of listening, understanding, and seeing our child. In many ways, it was the moment we were reborn as parents, advocates, and creators. It became a defining spark not only for FidgetPockets, but also for the birth of BeyondtheLabel.

A week later, we stitched the skirt into place… and the rest is history.

What began as a simple idea quickly revealed its purpose. Sensory needs came into focus. Self-regulation became a daily practice. And soon, other parents wanted one for their own kids. During the height of the fidget-spinner craze, our pocket offered something different: quiet, subtle, convenient, and always right where you need it.
